Application Instructions

Temperature Control:

  • Ensuring the windscreen is at the right temperature is crucial for the successful application of the product. Ideally, the application should be done in a controlled environment, preferably dry and sheltered, with temperatures between 10°C and 32°C.
  • To adjust the windscreen temperature accordingly, use the vehicle’s defroster. On warmer days, cool the windscreen by running the air conditioning for 10 minutes.
  • Conversely, on colder days, warm it up by running the heater for the same duration before applying the product.

Application Items:

  • CV-Bond Solution: 50ml sedan, 60ml 4×4, and 300ml truck’s (seek further guidance for all vehicle quantities), 
  • 1x Squeegee,
  • 2x Microfiber Cloths;
  • Commercial Grade Glass Cleaner: Streak Free (Residue-Free)  or Rubbing Alcohol (IPA: Isopropyl Alcohol). 

Procedure:

  1. Windscreen Inspection: Examine the windscreen for any damage. Document details for fleet vehicles, including photos.
  2. Preparation: Clean the windscreen using streak-free cleaners. Ensure it’s completely dry.
  3. Wiper Blade Adjustment: Lift the blades away from the windscreen.
  4. Cleaning Process: Apply the cleaning solution to half the windscreen, clean with a microfiber towel, then repeat for the other half.
  5. Edge Cleaning: Wipe any remaining solution from the windscreen edges.
  6. Shake CV-Bond: Thoroughly mix the CV-Bond solution.
  7. Application: Spray CV-Bond evenly, starting from the top and working to the edges.
  8. Removal of Solution: Wait briefly, then use a dry squeegee or microfiber cloth to remove the solution, ensuring overlap with each stroke.
  9. Repeat Process: Apply CV-Bond to the other half of the windscreen.
  10. Check for Haze: Inspect for any haze, indicating incomplete removal or fast drying.
  11. Haze Removal: Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth, or dampen the cloth if necessary.
  12. Drying Post-Application: If cold or rainy, use the defroster to aid drying. Keep dry for 24 hours.
  13. Documentation: Record the application date and details.
  14. Regular Reapplication: Reapply CV-Bond annually or every 80,000 km’s for continued protection.
